The design of the Seraf Vadi Restaurant is deeply inspired by Turkish cultural heritage, with the ‘Tree of Life’ concept as the central theme. This symbol of unity and interconnectedness reflects the region’s traditions and nature and forms the basis of the restaurant’s architectural narrative. Bathroom solutions were carefully selected to not only meet the functional needs of the space, but to seamlessly integrate with the overall design vision and cultural authenticity. With a deep understanding of local traditions and a global presence, Roca is uniquely equipped to respect these narratives and adapt its products to different cultural environments while maintaining harmony with the unique identity of each project.

Design Concept: The Tree of Life

The interior of the restaurant draws on the rich traditions of Anatolia, where civilisations have left their mark over the centuries. The Tree of Life, symbolising growth and continuity, became the focal point, represented in the structural columns and other elements throughout the space. Natural materials like wood ceramics and stone were combined with modern craftsmanship to create a harmonious environment where guests could experience both the cuisine and cultural richness of Turkey.

In keeping with this design approach, every detail was carefully considered to enhance the natural, organic feel of the space. From plant installations applied behind glass to the intricate use of ceramics and natural stone, the dining areas evoke a sense of harmony and warmth, making the dining experience an immersive cultural journey.

Bathroom solutions in line with tradition

The choice of bathroom elements was an important part of maintaining the authenticity of the design. Washbasins, toilets and accessories were chosen to complement the restaurant’s modern take on traditional elements. Over-countertop basins with smooth, rounded shapes echo the organic curves found throughout the space, while wall-hung, rimless toilets offer clean, sleek lines that blend effortlessly into the aesthetic without detracting from the overall design.

The Inspira Round over-countertop Fineceramic® basin, Dama wall-hung Rimless WC and PL10 Dual flush plate offer sleek, modern functionality that complements the traditional cultural elements of the design. The Inspira Round basin, with its smooth, organic lines, mirrors the natural curves found throughout the restaurant, reinforcing the connection to the Tree of Life. Similarly, the Dama Rimless WC ensures a hygienic and efficient experience without sacrificing aesthetic appeal. Additionally, Roca’s wall-mounted Victoria toilet brush holder was chosen for its minimalist design and practical convenience, aligning perfectly with the restaurant’s emphasis on combining style and function.

Bespoke ceramics in the restrooms further emphasises the restaurant’s commitment to combining modern comfort with cultural elements. Special attention was paid to maintaining a cohesive look, ensuring that the toilets, like the rest of the restaurant, reflect the theme of natural unity and timelessness.

A fluid experience of culture and innovation

Seraf Vadi Restaurant demonstrates how design can create meaningful connections between tradition and modernity. The carefully chosen bathroom solutions demonstrates how thoughtful bathroom design can play a crucial role in enhancing the overall restaurant experience, making the seamless integration of these solutions an integral part of Seraf Vadi’s mission to create an immersive, culturally rich space.
