Innovation at its core

In line with the brand’s unwavering commitment to the environment, Roca embarked on a journey with the Almada Water Museum, a beacon of environmental education and sustainable practice. By supplying the museum with a range of products designed to promote the responsible use of resources, Roca has helped ensure that the museum’s bathrooms are both functional and environmentally friendly.

At the heart of the museum’s sustainable bathrooms is the award-winning W+W (Washbasin + WC) unit, an ingenious solution that combines a washbasin and toilet in one. This innovative design allows water from the washbasin to be reused to flush the toilet, reducing water consumption by up to 25% compared to traditional systems. With its sleek design and technological innovation, the W+W not only enhances the bathroom experience but also underlines a true commitment to sustainability.

Adding to its innovative edge, the W+W features the exclusive Single Pro faucet, a compact and efficient solution equipped with a progressive cartridge that saves water. This system opens directly in the cold position, avoiding unnecessary activation of the boiler and reducing CO2 emissions. Through this collaboration, Roca demonstrates how the integration of cutting-edge technology with sustainable practices can significantly improve water efficiency and environmental responsibility.

Efficiency and Elegance

Roca's Proton urinals are a testament to the brand's commitment to combining water conservation with elegant design. With their minimalist lines and rounded edges, these urinals use just 0.5 litres of water per flush. The automatic touchless flush system, adjustable settings, and ECO mode not only optimise water use, but also improve hygiene and user comfort.

The combination of The Gap wall-hung toilets with PL1 dual flush plates underlines Roca’s commitment to efficiency and style in the public sector. The PL1 dual flush plates offer the flexibility of a full or reduced flush, allowing users to manage water consumption responsibly, contributing to significant savings over time, while maintaining a sleek design.

Complementing the toilet’s layout, The Gap Round over countertop basins enhance the overall aesthetic of the Water Museum’s toilets. With its perfectly balanced dimensions and smooth, rounded shape, this basin combines functionality with a refined design.

Educational and Environmental Impact

The Almada Water Museum is more than just a showcase for innovative products; it's a dynamic educational space where visitors can learn about the importance of water conservation through interactive exhibits. Roca's contribution goes beyond improving the functionality and aesthetics of museum’s bathrooms; it promotes a culture of environmental responsibility. This partnership between Roca and the Almada Water Museum sets a new standard for sustainability and environmental education, inspiring future projects to follow in its footsteps.
