Roca’s participation in the city’s important design festival for the fifth consecutive year confirms the gallery’s commitment to contemporary design and its role in the city’s design community.

The 2024 edition of the Madrid Design Festival will take place from 8 February to 17 March under the theme Redesigning the World. With more than 53 exhibitions and installations, 177 brands, institutions and spaces, and the participation of 695 professionals, the six-week festival aims to show how design and craftsmanship can be a tool for change, solving problems solving and bringing the world together.

Craftsmanship and innovative design are on display in Colour Calling, an eye-catching installation of Roca’s colourful Nu faucet collection designed by Studio Inma Bermúdez. Capturing Nu’s original style and impact on bathroom design, the whimsical exhibition, created by Klunderbie Studios, presents the collection’s bold colours – from mint green to honey yellow – in a dynamic and playful way.

On 22 February, leading figures from the world of design will gather at Roca Madrid Gallery to discuss the relevance of craft and product design in Spain and the challenge of integrating both disciplines in a contemporary studio. From the continuation of respect for tradition and upholding craftsmanship, to the demands of production and the consumer, Design with Soul will raise important and relevant issues for contemporary design and designers. The debate will be moderated by Marta Riopérez, director of Elle Decoration, and will include industrial and product designers Eli Gutiérrez and Andreu Carulla (designer the Tura collection by Roca), designer Lucas Muñoz and architect and designer Juli Capella.

Colour Calling will be on view from February 8th-March 17th, 2024.
