Roca and Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub join forces to drive innovation in digital health applied to the bathroom of the future

The collaboration will connect Roca with the Hub’s ecosystem of start-ups, universities, and research centers to identify and test innovations with real-world applications and promote new solutions for the bathroom space.

Roca and Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub (BHH) have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at advancing the development of the bathroom of the future, a space with a strong digital component in which products and the environment itself can help identify and monitor health-related aspects. The alliance will enable Roca to connect with the Hub’s digital health ecosystem to detect and promote innovations with real-world applications.

The main objective of the partnership is to identify innovations that can be applied to real bathroom environments; test proposals in medical contexts; present challenges to start-ups for the development of specific bathroom applications; and strengthen Roca’s commitment to the digital health ecosystem.

The project is based on a clear conviction: the bathroom of the future will have a strong digital component, and both products and the space itself can contribute to identifying and monitoring health-related issues.

As a partner of Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub, Roca will also participate in the Health Revolution Congress, which will take place in May at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, with an exhibition of smart toilets, some of which already incorporate health-related functionalities.

Barcelona & Madrid Health Hub is a non-profit association that promotes innovation in digital health, connecting start-ups, organizations, companies, and investors. By joining this ecosystem, Roca will collaborate with leading universities and research centers to accelerate innovation and validate new bathroom solutions with real-world applications.
