Roca builds the Roca São Paulo Gallery, the seventh Gallery of the brand, designed by the renowned Brazilian architect Fernanda Marques. With these spaces, Roca, a global manufacturer of products for the bathroom space and world leader in the production of vitreous china, proposes an innovative space to relate with society and especially with architects and designers. The Roca Galleries have been conceived as meeting points for the exchange of knowledge of professionals by organizing all kinds of activities (themed exhibitions and window displays, conferences, round tables, etc.), as well as the display of products of the brand.

Roca São Paulo Gallery will maintain the distinguishing signature of the network of Galleries and will be designed by a prestigious professional in the world of architecture and design: Brazilian architect Fernanda Marques, awarded with four International Property Awards Americas and four Italian AD Awards, among other recognitions. Marques joins other names such as OAB Estudio of Borja, Lucía and Carlos Ferrater, responsible of Roca Barcelona Gallery; Estudio de Arquitectura Lamela (Roca Madrid Gallery), Estudio Ferruz Decoradors (Roca Lisboa Gallery), Zaha Hadid (Roca London Gallery), Francesc Rifé Studio (Roca Shanghai Gallery) or Ma Yansong (Roca Beijing Gallery, opened in 2017).

Fernanda Marques’ style stands out for the elegance of her projects and her clean and contemporary approach, always attentive to the new trends in the world of international art and design. One of the inspirations of the Roca São Paulo Gallery project was to bring lush nature into the building as an important pillar to create an atmosphere of well-being and connection. The combination of vegetal elements, wood and glass define the project. Thus, nature is the focus of the space, a building with a glass facade, with a graphic design inspired by the Atlantic Forest, which holds a refreshing waterfall inside it, using sustainable raw materials such as reforestation timber. Located on Avenida Brasil, in São Paulo, one of the most emblematic in the city, this multifaceted building will be made up of three interdependent and interconnected blocks.

Fernanda Marques explains that her "intention has been to create something that is 100% connected to the commitment of the Roca Brand to excellence and best practices in modern architecture and design. I have tried to conceive a project loyal to the DNA of the brand, without leaving behind the special features of Brazilian architectural tradition, such as transparency, fluidity and the attention to the environment.”

The building of the Roca São Paulo Gallery entails a new drive to the presence of the Roca Group in the country, where it has 11 production plants, presenting growth prospects mainly thanks to the impulse of new categories in the bathroom space. Over the years, the Group has strengthened relations with architects and designers in Brazil and Latin America, promoting projects with such renowned professionals as Ruy Ohtake, who recently presented a collection of basins exclusively designed for the Roca brand. Roca São Paulo Gallery should become a new meeting point with the professionals of the sector, as well as with students and enthusiasts.

The Roca Gallery concept aims to keep a constant dialogue with society as a whole and especially with those professionals with whom Roca shares the inquisitiveness and interest in the evolution of the sector. Designed by internationally acclaimed professionals of the architecture and design sectors, each Gallery has its own personality, adapted to the reality of each country and to the needs of local markets, always keeping a common essence. This philosophy is also applied to the online platform rocagallery.com, which has over 30 international collaborators and delves into global trends

Roca Gallery
Roca created the Roca Gallery project in 2010 as a meeting point for constant dialogue with society as a whole and especially with those professionals with whom it shares the inquisitiveness and interest in the building industry and in the innovation in the bathroom space.

This goal was expressed by means of physical spaces located in singular buildings in cities such as London, Shanghai, Beijing, Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon. These spaces, open to citizens, host exhibitions, debates, presentations and other events that, along with the display of Roca’s latest innovations, convey the essence and values of the brand.

Its new digital platform expands the vision of the project, becoming a virtual space that collects articles on current trends and future challenges. With the collaboration of over 60 international professionals, rocagallery.com aims to be a space for dissemination and critical opinion where to learn, form an opinion and share knowledge on architecture, design, innovation and sustainability.
