Ceramic tile plants

The Group’s ceramic tile plants have also faced a year that saw some restructuring of capacity, both to start up production of new formats and to better adapt to the reality of each market. In Spain, the Santa Margarida i els Monjos (Barcelona) plant closure has allowed us to focus production at the Vall d’Uxó (Castellón) site, which is better equipped in terms of facilities.

This operation reflects the new business plan of the ceramic tile division in Europe, which includes slimming down the number of formats and item numbers and investment in technologies that allow greater product customization, such as digital injection decorators.

The Group’s ceramic tile plants have restructured their capacity to introduce new formats andM better adapt to the reality of each market

The two ceramic tile plants in Brazil have significantly increased their production thanks to investments made in previous years to enhance the production of large formats and the installation of digital injection decorators. To lower costs, we have also made industrial improvements in the formulation of ceramic pastes and enamels.
