Under the coordination of Roca Corporate University (RCU) we have extended corporate solutions such as the Roca Performance Management (RPM) program and operations motivational programs. The RPM program has already been implemented in all Group companies and is intended to encourage professional development among all managers according to common values and behaviors, thus enabling them to properly manage the skills of their respective teams. We have continued rolling out 29 operations motivational programs in ten countries on four continents, with a special focus on Asia. Motivation efforts are aimed at middle managers in manufacturing and sales.

The Group seeks to adapt its knowledge to the specific needs of local markets. A good example of this are the MANCOM and MANMEET programs undertaken at Roca China and Ying featuring a special design to meet local managers’ needs. The aim of these programs is to provide an overview of the business, involve all departments in the company’s strategic objectives and contribute to their development as high-performance teams. As in previous years, we continue rolling out our standards in work and productivity organization standards.

Efforts made by companies in Russia and Malaysia are especially noteworthy. In total, Roca Corporate University has conducted 160,375 hours of training in 2013, with the participation of 16,180 professionals in all areas. We have also consolidated our facilities in Barcelona as a benchmark site for the Group, while also supporting other departments as they organize meetings and training activities. In particular, the Methods-Time Meeting in Moscow attracted professionals from major markets and included a tour of the Akvaton plant.

In 2013, the HR Department also wrapped up the reconfiguration of the industrial map in Spain, which ended production in sanitary ware plants in Alcalá de Guadaira (Seville) and Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), and at the ceramic tile plant in Santa Margarida i els Monjos (Barcelona).
