Roca’s 100th Anniversary - 100 Years of Design.
The family workshop that was set up by the Roca brothers close to Barcelona one century ago has become an international company and a global leader in the design of bathroom spaces.
The exhibition “From Material to Product – Design, Technology and Innovation in the World of Home Design” shows how Roca’s products have evolved over the last 100 years.
Since the company was first established in Gavá in 1917, Roca has not only been present in thousands of households. It has also been able to successfully adapt to the new times and to the consumers’ changing requirements, and to create competitive advantages by constantly offering innovative solutions.
The company has designed thousands of functional and hard-wearing products. The brand’s well-designed, ergonomic, smart and sustainable products have therefore become very popular among the public.
An interactive journey takes visitors to the different production processes and raw materials that Roca uses to manufacture its products.
The products displayed at the exhibition are a true reflection of the firm’s strong commitment to design, innovation and the environment. The pieces have been manufactured combining traditional materials with a new generation of high-performance materials.
Roca’s spirit of improvement, environmental awareness and commitment to the market will surely result in new surprising designs in the upcoming decades. The company’s aim is not only to change what households and bathrooms look like, but also to set new clever ways of using the space by promoting new habits in the society and making them accessible to everyone.
